This Must Be the Place was a solo exhibition at O Galeria Cerâmica in Porto, Portugal, exploring the idea of home as something that can change over time — a house, the people we share our lives with, or simply a feeling we carry within ourselves.
Inspired by the tiles found throughout Barcelona, Milo Hachim created a series of ceramic pieces that reinterpret this familiar element through her own visual language. Made from dark clay and cut to reveal bright colours underneath, the tiles become small windows into scenes of animals, people and nature, reflecting connection, companionship and everyday moments.
The exhibition was completed by ceramic characters engaged in simple gestures — walking, holding a flower, or spending time with an animal. Together, the works create an imagined domestic landscape: a place to pause, connect and think about what makes somewhere feel like home.
